AP stood trial at Ipswich Crown Court accused of wounding with intent. It was said that he had slashed the face of the principal prosecution witness twice with a knife. He maintained that he acted in self-defence. Following extensive and effective cross examination of the witness by Quentin it took a jury less than 30 minutes to unanimously acquit AP and deliver a Not Guilty verdict.
