Acquittal in Nightclub stabbing case

Quentin represented Mr MO a 22 year old man who stood accused of stabbing a member of the public at the Coronet Nightclub in Elephant and Castle. MO was charged with Wounding with intent to cause Grievous Bodily Harm, an offence which if convicted would have led to a sentence of 12 years imprisonment.

Quentin represented MO at trial at Woolwich Crown Court. There were evidential difficulties in the case, namely the fact that the incident was captured on CCTV footage, the fact that there were five eyewitnesses to the incident and the fact that the prosecution were able to prove that MO had the victim’s blood on his clothes. Despite this Quentin’s presentation of MO’s case led to a unanimous acquittal by the jury and a verdict of Not Guilty being entered on MO’s behalf.

If you find yourself accused of a criminal offence where it appears that the evidence against you is strong you will need the best representation in order to secure a Not Guilty verdict.
